A stroll through Krakow

Krakow is, without any doubt, one of the most well promoted cities we have visited so far. Being January, one would expect to see a grim and not so attractive place, still recovering after the winter holidays. Think again! The city is alive and vibrant, its alleys full of people of the Babylonian sort and its colorful establishments are luring visitors to come in and have a taste of the polish traditions.
During our stay in Krakow we did not have just a roof over our heads, we had a home to stay in. Our hosts, Kasia and Jurek have warmly welcomed us and made our polish experience even more pleasant.
Through long, midnight discussions we came about many "krakovian" stories and histories and found that we would soon want to return to witness these tellings.

Of course, the Krakow experience would not have been complete without actually tasting it... We think you are all familiar with "zapiekanka" and if not, well...you better be. Adding the fine polish beverages you would not want to leave Poland for a while. (dedicated to Lucian :-) in remembrance of the good old days)
We hope to return to Poland as soon as possible, and together with Kasia and Jurek, to wander in and around Krakow and, why not, hike the Polish Tatra Mountains.

Until next time!

  1. Lungi si nonconformiste sunt iesirile voastre in lume. Si cel mai tare ma bucura faptul ca sunt tot mai dese. Sunteti niste geografi adevarati! Lovely pictures!
