Life is a never-ending journey

It didn't take long for us to decide to get away, even for two days, from the mess of our daily routines. We have had the idea to visit Berlin for quite some time but never found the initiative to actually go there, until now. Bought bus tickets a few hours before departure and left Copenhagen in the middle of the night. The Reichstag  The weather was terrible, so terrible that we were very reluctant about getting the camera out. It's actually comforting sometimes to simply enjoy the new scenery without worrying about light, composition, angles and so on.  Interbelic romance   Genuine tourism   Premonition Berlin definitely looks like a capital that has kept the memory of its tumultuous past alive. A strong economical and architectural contrast can be observed throughout the city, ranging from high-tech and futuristic looking buildings to degraded facades, neighborhoods that seem to shelter dark and not-so-touristic aspects of the berlin...

Planurile pentru a pleca in nordul Germaniei fusesera stabilite inca de la intoarcerea din Suedia. Aveam tot ce trebuie, entuziasm, nerabdare si ceva banisori sa trecem strada sau, in cazul asta, sa trecem granita. Toate bune si frumoase, drumetia a inceput, poate in stilul nostru caracteristic, aproape ratand autobuzul spre Hamburg. Dupa indelungi negocieri cu soferul, ne-a permis sa urcam la bord. Calatoria a fost relaxanta si destul de scurta, circa 4 ore, autobuzul lasandu-ne la aeroportul din Hamburg. De acolo pana in centrul orasului am mai facut 20 de minute cu metroul. Gara din Hamburg este la fel ca orice alta gara a unui oras mare, foarte aglomerata, turisti de toate nationalitatile si o populatie pestrita. Odata dotati cu harta orasului am pornit in recunoastere. Arhitectura orasului imbina stilul medieval cu cel modern, in unele zone intr-un mod placut, intr-altele mai putin.
